Shakespeare’s play Hamlet has been around for ages but what makes it is intriguing? Many believe it is due to how several aspects of the play are left up to the reader to decide. Take a look at the Ghost, Shakespeare left a lot unanswered about this character. Is it real or is Hamlet just imaging it because he is crazy? There is evidence to support that the ghost is real, but then is it really his father or just a demonic spirit. The Ghost’s motive of destroying Hamlet’s peace shows it is demonic spirit and not his father. The Ghost destroys Hamlet’s inner peace by deceiving him in to thinking that revenge is necessary. The thought of avenging his father’s death is a condemning thought that cause Hamlet to seem mad. Demons are kwon to “interject condemning thoughts into the mind” to manipulate a person (Demonic).
