Iceland, the land of fire and Ice. This insanely picturesque country has always had my heart. In the last few years I have found a very special place in my soul for the glaciers, volcanoes, rugged coastline, glacial rivers, waterfalls and overall fascinating geology of Iceland.

This image (Ice) is a moment captured on my last journey to the country in 2022, the first time I was able to visit in Winter. The harsh climate and weather of winter in Iceland is extreme, yet I felt so much more connected to the elements in these conditions. This was one of the first glaciers I’d visited in Iceland years prior, and always felt so drawn to it’s massive extraordinary beauty- the stark contrast of blue ice, snow and black volcanic ash.
