I tried to sober up, really I did. But it was difficult when the girls were giving me drinks with little umbrellas in them and there was a giant rabbit walking around everywhere. It was especially hard when the rabbit started talking to me, asking me in a very serious voice why I had lost control like this. "I mean, sure, Las Vegas is a crazy place, but you're usually so level-headed. What happened?"
I looked at the rabbit, and then down at the drink in my hand. "I don't know, man. I just feel like everything is spinning out of control. I can't seem to hold on to anything."
"Not even your sanity?" The rabbit asked, raising an eyebrow.
I shook my head and took another sip of my drink. "Nope, not even that."
There are a few things I know for sure: I'm not in Kansas anymore, I'm extraordinarily lost, and everything is extremely confusing.
I thought I could handle it; after all, I'd read the books. But this place is nothing like I expected. Everyone here is larger than life, and the drugs they're taking are even more mind-bending than I could have imagined.
I tried to follow the white rabbit, but he just led me deeper into this dark and twisted world. What have I gotten myself into?
