Powerful, statement debut release from Detachments. The track got attention from Andrew Weatherall, Ivan Smagghe then Trevor Jackson who gave it rapturous review in The Times after Thisisnotanexit Records released it. The track gained rave reviews in Mixmag, Fact, NME, Drowned In Sound, CMU
The track was produced in an intensely hot room in East London (near 'murder mile') after a visit to Napoleon's tomb in Paris. The track eventually caused the system it was on to meltdown taking many other tracks with it.

Detachments (led by Bastien Marshal) is a dark-edged, early 80s influenced electronic music outfit from England. The entity has collaborated with such luminaries as Andrew Weatherall; perhaps the most revered UK DJ of all time, synth aficionado James Ford (multiple number 1 album producer), and Peter Hook for Joy Division Orchestrated with whom Bastien performed at Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House in 2019. Bastien BA(Hons)Fine Art has been experimented with the digital art/music interface for many a year. His inevitable progression into NFTs has now yielded this exclusive collection.
Detachments… "A way forward" The Guardian, "Sepulchral brilliance" Sunday Times, "Raw and narcotic" FACT, "Deeply enticing” Clash, BBC Radio 1 'Alternative Single of The Week', Drowned in Sound ‘Single of the Week’, NME Top 'Tracks You Need To Hear', The Guardian 'Best New Bands of The Year'.
Detachments continue to respond to gig requests, performing live across Europe.
