Color Glossary #131

Color Glossary collection image

This is a collection of 150 1/1 different colors, color combinations, and textures that inspire Bethany Marie's painting process.

Before starting a painting, there's a process for choosing colors. Art studies, creating paint swatches, mixing, and creating color combinations are all apart of the creative process. Bethany always includes texture in her art to give dimension, along with different colors. All of those art studies, paint swatches, and color combos are kept away to go back and use for inspiration and reference for new paintings. This is how the name “Color Glossary” emerged.

All artist have different ways of creating color combinations, textures, and dimensions which makes the “before” part such a beautiful part of the artistic process. No matter what colors and hues we’re drawn to, we all have different ones we connect with.

Stay colorful, friends.
