The cameo card. Rare photo of myself, on the first backpacking trip of my life. This is in Riomaggiore, one of the five quaint villages of Cinque Terre in Italy. On this trip I fell in love with traveling. I had no clue I would or could ever make a living out of traveling and travel photography. This photo is taken with one of those cheap disposable film cameras. I brought one for the whole trip. A think it was able to take about 30 photos, for a month of traveling.
'Full House Photo' is a deck of cards with scenes from every corner of the planet. It's a collection of 52 images that have a special place in my heart, and it's a summary of nearly fifteen years of work as a freelance travel photographer and writer.
Every suit is a tribute to a different continent:
Hearts = Africa | Clubs = Asia | Diamonds = Europe | Spades = the Americas
Every single photo in this deck has a special meaning to me. They are memories of incredible encounters, wonderful places, beautiful journeys. This deck is my view of the world, it's my tribute to it, it's my summary of experiences as a traveler.
