You may feel in your visionary realm where your soul is from, the depth of how ancient your connection to infinity is, while simultaneously diving into the now as if this moment is here, freshly born. My name is Shana Munson, my Artist alias is Ametaphor, and I created the entirety of this song and pixel art gif titled “The Scene That Wasn’t Played, Won My Heart,” by myself over the span of at least 24 hours accumulatively on my laptop with my mobile recording gear and iPhone in a co-work space and multiple cafes while starting my journey living as a minimalistic digital nomad in a not-yet converted cargo van on the mid-East Coast, USA. Originally from Silicon Valley, CA, I am a millennial operatically-trained vocalist that dropped out of my vocal performance major to explore electronic music production and discover my soul’s calling and purpose. Web 3’s emergence has brought me an opportunity to, for the first time, step into the world fully with the hopes of making a more supportive living off my craft after so many years of being a struggling artist exploring my musical expression. It wasn’t until late 2021 that I went from jokingly being ‘good at singing in gibberish’ to awakening to the calling of light language singing: intuitive linguistics that channel healing energy to the planet. I underwent a spiritual awakening that gave me the sensation that extraterrestrial life could relate to my music, or that somehow my musical mission was connected to the perception of advanced healing consciousness. Many people believe this channeling serves transmissions of healing from extraterrestrials or higher beings, but even at a practical level, vocal energy is physically being sent as vibrations with the intention of healing and is a powerful and long-used shamanic healing modality. I was inspired by psychedelic visions to create the image of a feminine being that represents my soulful highest self receiving light from Source/God/higher realms to channel to this planet. The botanical greenery mixed with teals are the colors that came to mind in my ‘ET’ visions, and a message resonated clearly to me that my purpose was to bring my lens of ‘ET Pop’ to this reality in both sound and art. After studying the NFT space for one year with endless ideas of directions of my artwork, I felt called to put my light language at the forefront and walk into Web 3 with this genesis Single, titled by a follower who entered a song-title contest I held on social media. I wrote down all 40 submitted titles from commenters on half-cut notecards and took a video of myself shuffling the cards as the winning title card flew out from the deck, tarot reading style, with 'The Scene That Wasn't Played, Won My Heart' from Alex.eth. Everything about this project feels ‘Universe-chosen’ and symbolizes connecting to something beyond our own imagination. I seek to, with Ametaphor and regardless of NFTs, represent and nurture the growing representation of the <3% of global music producers who are women (or generally non-man-identifying) at the time of this release in May, 2022. With this project, I hope to grow into a creative inspiration who can empower more like-hearted souls to access high quality audio creation skills, especially from an intersectional feminist-elevating standpoint, and help contribute to the epic soundtrack of the rising vibration of the collective.
