「the city of the Tonchiki Boy and the frogs・Kéró Kero」
Hall of Knowledge, University of Kéró Kero

The reign of King Kérówilm reached a turning point in the 530s. This was due to two major events that led to a growing distrust towards the monarchy among the people of Kéró Kero. The two events took place at the University of Kéró Kero.

The University of Kéró Kero was established in 500 and was considered the top institution in Kéró Kero. With a history over 150 years since the founding of its predecessor, the Kéró Kero School, it was widely known as the 'Hall of Knowledge', a true symbol of Kéró Kero intelligence. It was also known for its facilities, including museums, libraries and art galleries, making it a cultural hub for the city.

The first incidents that occurred at the University of Kéró Kero was the Kéró-Kérózé Incident in 534. Professor Kéró-Kérózé was suddenly dismissed and arrested after publishing critical paper on the monarchy. The next incident was the student strike in 535. Students protested against the suppression of free speech in the Kéró-Kérózé 's Incident and demanded his reinstatement. The students defied a government order to blockade the university and ran it autonomously for a month. As a result, the protest was suppressed by the merchant fleet and Kéró-Kérózé was released but not reinstated to the university.

In fact, the incidents turned out to be a major miscalculation for Kérówilm. The dismissal of Professor Kéró-Kérózé and his paper criticising the monarchy was unrelated. However, the misunderstanding gained credence when the government mobilized a merchant fleet to suppress the student protest and as a result, the two incidents became a major catalyst for public skepticism towards the monarchy in Kéró Kero.

Subsequently, an anti-monarchy position emerged in the country. The anti-monarchy faction developed a movement advocating the abolition of the monarchy and a return to the old regime through protests against the government. Unfortunately, the government also confront the anti-monarchy faction with force, which exacerbated the animosity between the two sides.
