Ever since i was a kid i have been fascinated by the aurora borealis. I used to wave at it cause my grandmother said that would intensify the lights, it was part of the mythology surrounding the lights. I have vivid memories of seeing the aurora dance on the night sky through my bedroom window. Later in life, when i started my career in photography, it was natural for me to specialize in capturing the northern lights. I began working with this all the way back in 2008, many years before it was common and mainstream. The technology was limited and i had to overcome the limitations by using unorthodox methods and techniques. It was a timeconsuming project that involved days and weeks out at night to capture these photos. Behind each of these artworks there is an endless amount of time, pain and fear of the unknown.

Being out working at night is a fine balance between pure relaxation and psychological terror. These are my babies, born out of joy and horror.
