DEPTH explores the feeling of being alive, feeling energetic and being in flow while simultaneously feeling trapped — like rushing water hitting a damn. She’s serene yet raging at the same time, much like the ocean. DEPTH was the first in this series of paintings aesthetically inspired by the ocean, painted by Alexandra (amac) Maceda in 2020. It is the sixth oil painting created after she decided to pursue art professionally, and one of only a handful that features a figure.
The original painting was gifted to her late grandmother, who passed away before she could receive the physical painting. The physical painting is and will always remain in amac's possession.
The original painting is 24in x 24in, oil on canvas. This 1/1 NFT is based on a museum-quality 3000dpi scan of the original canvas.
BLOOM is the first ever NFT collection by abstract artist Alex (amac) Maceda. The collection was minted between March - October 2021 and is now complete, and no new works will be added.
Eight pieces at 0.1eth were released in October 2021 in conjunction with her article, 'The Case for Fine Art NFTs' (https://amac.substack.com/p/the-case-for-fine-art-nfts). No 1/1s will ever be released at this price going forward.
From May 11, 2021 to May 11 2022, amac will also be releasing daily #desertminis, 1/1 watercolors based on her first year in the desert: https://opensea.io/collection/desert-minis
