This reflection is one of the most sought after images in this area given the incredible backdrop of the famous Ten Peaks and the challenge it presents for the conditions to align to make this image possible. Even the slightest of breeze will render the shot impossible.
Each time I have attempted this hike, I have had this shot in mind knowing that the percentage of being successful is slim. So I start early to increase my chances, leaving the trailhead around 4am in the dark lighting the path by headlamp for the 2 hours it takes to reach the top.
I have hiked to this location at least 8 times over the last two years to finally accomplish this image. Needless to say, its a special one!
I always wanted of a life of adventure, but it wasn't until I picked up my camera that I found the medium to catapult my life into the adventure of my wildest dreams.
Today, I find my greatest passion and joy in the mountains where I not only chase adventure, but find my solitude, inspiration, and escape amongst their towering peaks.
I chose to focus my first collection around my experiences and memories between the rugged peaks of Alberta and BC to the remote and untouched wilderness of the Yukon Territory.
These are three beautiful and distinct regions of Canada that I’ve had the privilege to call home.
