I visited a 150 year old shrine in Ibadan. I wanted to learn what I could about the deity and the best way to do that was to go to a source. The priest was very helpful and here he stands posing with a carved wooden staff and some statues.
I have spent the past 2 years traveling Nigeria and documenting stories about our culture, history and landscapes. Throughout my life, African countries have been depicted in a negative manner in the media and I do this to show the world that Africa is lush, rich and diverse. I document these stories on my personal website www.foluoyefeso.com, and the photographs in this collection are favorites from the journey so far. Thank you for being here!
