The Silly Leonardo da Vinci #1 one-of-one NFT is a Photoshop collage based on the engraving by Cosomo Colombini (d. 1812) after a Leonardo self-portrait. Ca. 1500. The extracted portrait is subtly colored and superimposed over a background extracted from a high-resolution photo of the oil painting, “St. Teresa of Calcutta: Carrier of God’s Love,” by Artist Chas Fagan. The enhanced wings are layered beneath a reproduction signature, a cardinal, and a sign with the quote, "go for it". The NFT's defined levels and properties will be frozen into the Ethereum blockchain after the first owner provides feedback, with the goal of maximizing utility in the metaverse.
30% of proceeds to the artist will be donated to The DaVinci Foundation For Innovative Education, "to us, the more access to education we all have, the better we manage our resources, protect our environments and nurture our incredible variety of life, and the better the future will be for each of us"1.
