I had a used camera and one lens. Ken had told me to shoot the “rule of 5” which was ISO 50 speed film shot at 1/500th of a second at f5.6. That’s it. I also had free run at the Camp of Champions since I was running the Snoboard Shop at the time. I knew I had to shoot on slide film so I bought slide film, the rest was an experiment.

This photo and a couple more that came from this session convinced me to become a photographer. It showed that I could make a great photo of snowboarding, and that’s all I ever wanted to do.

This NFT comes with an unlockable file to print a 12x18 version of the photo as well as instructions for the best practices for printing. This ensures that if the NFT sells to a new user, they will also get the add-on value.

Snowboarding's Golden Era collection image

In the 90s snowboarding was still new, wild, dangerous, and changing by the month. It was exciting, the characters were legendary, and it went from the outcast to the olympics in a matter of years. These are some of the photos from that era. Sports collectables for those of us who were never into team sports.
