Faith had seen a lot of films and had seen how terror is supposed to mark a person’s soul with vengeance that never rests until it is enacted upon those that have harmed someone. Where was the burned in image of some physical characteristic of the perpetrator? Where was the drive to train in martial arts and various weaponry? How was she able to enjoy her work as a pastry chef as much as she did when she knew they were still out there? And why was she asking herself these questions less and less as the years went by? Was she a bad person? Were the films that much fiction? She let the questions stir for a minute and then she turned her attention to the oven. The shortbread was just about ready to come out.
