The rituals are called as “Paravai Kavadi”, which means the men will be hanging with the support of their flesh itself in the crane, throughout the entire ritual time. They will be piercing the skin with the metal hook to hang in the crane. They are representing the culture and faith of the peoples of Madurai. The name of the goddess who they are worshiping is “Veerakali Amman”.

Idea behind the series: Our world is filed with full of different peoples and their cultures, may the rituals and cultures differs. But “faith” remains the same.
