About the image : I took the picture on the streets of Kolkata one summer afternoon. Two children were playing in the hot afternoon sun. Their shadows were falling on the clothes. I took the picture after waiting for a while. The image is nostalgic. A symbol of childhood vitality. This light and shadow picture is one of my favorite.

About the artist : I am Arunava Kundu, an amateur photographer, live in Howrah, West Bengal, India. From childhood I have a keen interest for watching photography. I didn't think that I would be able to change my love and passion into a real life exploration. I love to click people, daily life and street activity. Whenever I find some free time, I grab my camera and go out to smell the real essence of life and try to freeze them. I nurture my two loves, photography and mathematics. I offer coaching classes for my living and run a small coaching centre in my house. In 2014, I won the grand prize from Shenzhen International Photography Contest (China), I have got many more national and international photography awards and published in some national and international magazines.
