Geckos In Paradise #2: Thirsty Gecko | September 2017 | Edition: 1/1 NFT | License: Extended Editorial

A brightly colored gecko drinks the nectar from a flower in the morning light.

While staying in Kona on the Big Island, there are frequently opportunities to see geckos around every corner. I had this shot in mind for many years of observing geckos, hoping for a chance to photograph one while it was drinking from a flower. This morning shot is my all-time favorite.

The Geckos in Paradise collection is 5 images curated from more than 10 years of photographing geckos around the islands of Hawaii. I have been fascinated by lizards since I was a child, and the colors on the gold dust day gecko are particularly bright, from their green scales, the splash of red on their back, to the light blue around their eyes. They are frequently a subject of my photos and this collection shares 5 of my favorites.

A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be reinvested in the NFT photography community.
