Last April we had one of my top five chases in North, Texas. This was not supposed to be a very big day and we were not expecting much at all. But boy were we wrong. The storms started going up late afternoon a few storms went up around the same time. The storms looked pretty messy at first we choose the storm near Lockett, Texas. The storm finally started to rapidly gain strength and started dropping big hail. We went to reposition I turned around to look behind me and all of a sudden a tornado was on the ground. We quickly pulled over and I started to shoot like crazy. The storm was starting to take on some amazing structure and we were in the perfect spot. We were 200 yards from the storm has it kept putting tornados down. You can see the dust on the ground has the first tornado started to lift. This was a truly magical chase.

A collection of some of my favorite storm images taken over the span of 10 years. I grew up in the heart of tornado alley and fell in love with storms at a young age. I have always had a special connection with the sky, my earliest memories are watching storms with my dad. Even though storms are chaotic they bring me a since of peace and belonging. When I am on the open plains chasing these beautiful storms I truly feel a since of peace I feel a since of belonging.
Chasing for me is a lifestyle I have sacrificed a lot for the chance to see some of the wildest storms. Every season I spend hours on the road 1000 of miles are driven. All for the chance to see a beautiful storm spinning across the open plains. Storms chasing has brought me out of some of the darkest times in my life.
