My paintings are reveries of freedom and escapes from unpleasantries in life. With each mark and texture I am trying to build a dreamscape where I and others would want to inhabit for a reprieve. There is a subtle nature to my work that opposes angst. I am very particular about what I allow into the composition as I balance the picture plane. I aim for each decision to work as a whole.

Life is chaotic. Hypnotic paintings to make you feel free. My work is an escape from the unpleasantness and stress in life that denies us peace. Each mark influences the next as the layers defy obstacles and let the joy shine through.

The beginning of a painting is more of a release and the ending is more intentional to make all the parts feel synchronized. My paintings are a symphony of gestures strung together like dream-like lyrics. The ending has to come together much like a hypnotic melody to make the composition synchronized.
