Back in December 2021, I took a picture of myself because I had an idea for a collection. That picture became Hibiscus #002. I asked my bestest friends to take the same photo and send it to me. This is Gary, a best friend and the inspiration of Sun Joy. This is the second piece I created for this collection, only after my self-portrait. Gary’s wife loves sunflowers so I wanted his image to be associated w sunflowers too.
Look around, follow the light, and seek peace and joy.
An art collection that reimagines masculinity with guys adorned by flowers. I want men to feel empowered to wear flowers, talk about their emotions, and dismantle toxic masculinity. 10% of primary and secondary profits will be donated to mental health charity.
