Margins was completed in 2020 and is a return to the square format of the original Torqued Paintings. The Torqued Painting series gets its name from the 'torqued' nature of the surface which curves because of the way the frame has been constructed with alternating depths. When canvas is stretched overtop it results in a torqued surface. This set of paintings was inspired by looking back at some earlier works and focusing on the elements of shape and pure colour. I was also thinking about boundaries and borders that we were experiencing due to the pandemic and the unseen margins of life we all navigate.

This collection showcases my physical artwork as digital pixelated versions, becoming abstracted 'bit' images of the originals. These are all 1/1 editions and become part of my database.
