‘Delicate Tension in Kinesis (pixelated) No. 85’ is an animated pixel painting of Kandinsky’s’ Delicate Tension in Kinesis No. 85’. The work adds physical kinesis to the implied motion within the original painting, whilst also aiming to maintain a state of tension within said movement adding a digital rendition within the retro pixel aesthetic. Kandinsky analysed both colour and form not from simple arbitrary idea-associations but from the painter's own personal experience. He created numerous abstract, sensorially loaded paintings, working with form and colour, studying their effects on his sensory experience. Kandinsky’s advanced theories were ahead of his time, he thoroughly explored his medium to it’s full extent. By re-appropriating this work using digital technology ‘Delicate Tension in Kinesis (pixelated) No. 85’ aim to further push these ideas forward via a freedom of decentralization that allows for perhaps a greater form of self-expression and resonance for both viewer and artist.

With the emergence of NFT’s the art world has the opportunity to explore a new wealth of ideas. This body of work aims to explore further the ideas stemming from the conceptual art movement and the dematerialization of the art object stemming from the 70's. This body of NFT’s like the majority of my work aims to ask questions, in this instance regarding its own form as an NFT and its position as art, not necessarily to find answers, but to expand the debate and further develop the idea chain.
