"A Different Light " is a collection of images created over the last 10 years, exploring and experimenting within the medium of conceptual photography to visually stride the line between light and dark, to create beauty imbued within darkness.

These images and this period in general were crucial to my growth as an artist leading up to today, with many of these pieces acting as milestones on my path to creating the style of imagery that I now work in. Creating many of these pieces helped me develop the confidence to go forward with my craft, shifting from shooting primarily self-portraits alone with little to no preparation when I first started, to eventually shooting others and planning out more intricate photoshoots requiring much more pre-production and post-production in an effort to showcase a somber form of beauty in a different light.
