This sits alongside the first painting Waves. The first painting focuses on the macro and us within it, whereas this painting represents the micro, us, and our immediate day-to-day, which often makes us forget the bigger picture.

In these temporary mind frames, our waves are curled, coiled, overlapping, frenetic. They become unwound by nature, meditation, reflection. Yet would you wish to never again experience those wavelengths too?

Waves and Waves II exist as stand-alones, they are two different paintings, but they are also intrinsically bound together, sharing the same palette and created on consecutive nights. I hope they are shown together somewhere in the future.
