When we examine the symbols, tools and rituals of prehistoric tribes, we need infer what they meant, what they were used for, what benefit they had. Human emotions are wonderful things and this painter is glad to experience them. But with all the miscalculation and error stemming from them, perhaps the advanced machine-like civilisations of the future may have long-stripped them out, and emotions will exist only as strange artefacts of the distant past, something curious to be studied?
