Inspired by the 400+ year old Japanese art of Kintsugi, in which broken pottery is joined by lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
In a faraway magical land, a Wizard spent his life trying to find a way of putting life into porcelain dolls. After 150 years, he finally succeeded.
He bestowed upon this doll, the gifts of life, intelligence & movement. But he couldn't bestow the gift of "Emotions”. This makes him sad and he feels like all these years have been wasted due to which the doll thinks she's broken.
The doll tries to find a way to understand the Wizard. In an attempt to add emotions to herself, she is pouring a magical liquid mixed with gold to heal herself of the emotionless state. Hence she uses Kintsugi, the art of healing with gold to heal herself into a complete being.
