Every year between June and September, monsoon moisture makes its way into the arid southwestern United States. The monsoon brings much needed rain to the region, but along with that precipitation also comes a series of severe weather phenomena--enormous dust storms, beautiful yet dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, the occasional supercell, and picturesque storm structure perhaps not seen anywhere else in the world.
