Have you ever been to Varanasi, India? During the winters, you might have come across these Siberian birds that migrate to the Ganges only to enhance the aura of the place.
I was on a boat ride, and the sunset was not very far away in time; that's when the boat bhaiya (guy) asked if I would like to feed the birds. I immediately agreed, without knowing what to expect. The bhaiya called for them by screaming "aaao, aaao, aaao" (come, come, come). To my surprise, they came. They all came together. As if they were waiting to hear that sound of "aaao."
These beautiful creatures came singing their song while surrounding every bit of us & the boat. The moment was bliss. I was mesmerized watching these white birds with a touch of golden/brownish feature texture. None of them fought for the food we offered; they were all in harmony, in sync with each other, as if they knew that food, attention & love was in abundance for them. While I can't disagree.
While I spent most of my time feeding them and watching them move, I somehow clicked a picture. Which is the one you see on your screen. It was a moment that I still long for and am sure of revisiting in the future.
