Mt,Fuji in Japan and the Statue of Liberty in America, each has its own history and people's feelings. By adding my own unique colors to each, I hope you will see and feel a new aspect of each. Fuji will be exhibited in different colors in the near future. Please look forward to seeing the Statue of Liberty, which will be on exhibit soon

Artist Statement

I have been strongly influenced by my mother since I was a child. My mother was tolerant, free, positive, and accepting of all kinds of people. My family was born in Tokyo, but we lived all over Japan by my father’s work. However, since food and clothing were not as plentiful as they are today, many things were not to the family’s taste, and most of them were handmade by my mother.

I became interested in my mother’s handmade works from an childhood and wanted to participate in some way. That is the origin of my make art works.

At the same time, my experience of living in different parts of the world has nurtured my sense of bright colors. I was influenced by my mother’s way of life, which was full of freedom, tolerance, and hope.

Every day, I would draw bright pictures as if they were diary. When I was in high school, I began to think that in the future I wanted to work with what I created and expressed.

After I turned 20, I first started working on illustrations for advertisements and other media. On my first visit to New York, I met Andy Warhol, who advised me that "the way my works perceives space and composition is interesting," which led to the creation of my subsequent works. On my first visit to New York, I met Andy Warhol, who advised me that "the way my works perceives space and composition is interesting," which led to the creation of my subsequent works. Later, my works became larger and larger, and I began to work on three-dimensional works and spatial compositions. Later, I shifted my focus to fine art.

The thoughts I put into my works are based on my childhood thoughts, and my great desire to convey a universal message through art, regardless of country, race, or religion. However, in these complicated times, I realized that the message was too big and blurred. We went back to the basics once again and focused on the history and thoughts of the people.

By adding my own coloring to symbolic objects (Mt. Fuji, Statue of Liberty, etc.)

Fuji, the Statue of Liberty, etc.), I hope that people will look at them from a different angle and see them from a new perspective. At the same time, I hope that people will feel it as a new form of symbolism and be energized by it. Aspects of people with various stances and identities.

It is the way my mother and me full of freedom, tolerance, and hope, the same perspective without discrimination.

I draw the symbolic things of each country with my coloring. Also I hope you can see them from a different perspective. I added to the one exhibited at the AD ART SHOW held at the One World Center in New York in 2019 to make it digital art.
