Rise Above - Billionaires' Row [#1]
Billionaires’ Row is a stretch of 3 city blocks in Manhattan NYC where the most expensive properties in the city are found. Several of these buildings are in the “supertall” category, taller than 1,000 ft (300m), and are amongst the tallest buildings in the world. Penthouse apartments on the Row sell for over $100M and this is where my photo was taken. Sitting on the 84th story, 1,428 ft (435m) rooftop edge, legs outstretched and looking south above Central Park. Imagine paying $100M to see this view every day? For the moment this is unfortunately not an option for me. Therefore, I rise above my limitations and designated habitat to take this view in as if it were my own. You can not own the freedom I experienced whilst sitting up there or buy this sort of appreciation for the universe. They can only be earned by leaving your comfort zone with a heart brimming with pure intentions and monolithic goals.
This is the first image in my upcoming Rise Above collection. All images will be soaring above the greatest heights NYC has to offer.
Superchief Gallery is the world's 1st physical dedicated NFT gallery space. Since we opened our first digital art gallery in Soho back in 2016, Superchief has held the belief that digital-native artwork was an essential art form to include as part of the larger art movement of our era. We have had been running our version of a traditional art gallery space since 2012 and by 2016 we knew well that there wasn't a clear way to monetize digital artwork. But we felt strongly that just because we couldn't sell it at the present time, didn’t mean it should be kept apart from the art community at large. These are artists we feel are brilliant and exciting, and should be part of the cultural exchange.
