🎴March Cherry&Curtain
I imagined a story in the March Hanafuda.
There is a famous tragic love story in Japan about a warlord named Minamoto no Yoshitsune and a traditional japanese dancer named Shizuka no Gozen.
Yoshitsune's life was threatened by his brother Yoritomo.
The two fled to Mount Yoshino to hide from Yoritomo.
I heard that it was a cold winter.
It was a cold winter, and that place became the place where their final farewell.
The cherry blossom and curtain flower card depicts Shizuka dancing in front of Yoshitsune's brother Yoritomo at his command.
The flute she is holding may have been Yoshitsune's prized possession. He was a good flute player.
It is very humiliating to dance for his brother Yoritomo, who killed Yoshitsune.
She composed a song about her love for Yoshitsune, which enraged Yoritomo.
This card depicts her dignified, beautiful and fragile life.
