Self-portrait in front of Kathy's dresser on April 21, 2022. As of this writing (5-17-2022) I still haven't let it all go. The large photo is her father, Jack, who passed away more than 20 years ago. The postcard of ladies having lunch in Paris was a favorite of hers. The "dresser set" of fine porcelain china items is from her grandmother. The smaller photo is an early picture of her great-niece. Each of the smaller boxes and containers holds a different kind of jewelry. In one of them I found a note I'd left for her one night that I never knew she'd kept. We'd had a hard time looking at houses because none of them felt like home. That night I left her a note in the kitchen where I knew she'd find it when she made her tea in the morning. It read, "Wherever you are, that is my home." I really meant it. The note wasn't there when I got up and she didn't say anything. But she put it in a special place I'd never look until I had to. 4032 x 3024, 300 ppi.

NEW MEXICO MY HEART collection image

New Mexico belongs to God and we just pass on through. As I once wrote, "The thing was though, they'd done it, the entire Taos murder trip, yet both of them were still together, healthy, and the love danced in her eyes." Kathy & I moved from Maryland to Taos County in 1999. The landing was a shock but we gave it all we had. New Mexico is never easy but stupendous. The story's in the photographs & their descriptions. JHFARR.ART is relevant. NFTs are 1/1s. - JHF
