We are here for the art.

The scope of this art piece really hit me last night while I was painting this.

My whole life. The rest of my life. My LIfe’s Art Work. These are words of commitment.

I am committing to be an artist for the rest of my life. I never really questioned this before. I just took it for granted that I was going to create art for the rest of my life. I have been creating my whole life so far. Why wouldn’t I continue until I die?

However, committing to it just feels different. Really different. Now, I am accountable. To you, and me.

Also, embedded in this painting is uncertainty. None of us know where this is going, what it will end up like, or how long it will go on. Maybe at the end of the day, this art piece is just about uncertainty and accepting that perseverance and commitment will get you through everything.

It also occurred to me that all of you supporting this project are in the same boat as me. You don’t know these things either. You share the same uncertainty. However, you choose to support and invest in me and this artwork. This morning, as I write this, it is wonderful to know that I am not alone in this. You and I are both here.

We are here for the art.

Welcome to the most ambitious art project I have ever attempted.

I will work on this painting for the rest of my life and document the whole process with 1/1 NFTs.

When I die it will be complete.

I have no idea when the end will be and where this will go until that time. It will evolve and change over time, just as I do. It will reflect the creative idea of the moment and then be lost to time as it changes into something else.

Just as we all do.
