Queen of Ndongo, present-day Angola, Nzinga Mbandi went down in history as a fearless warrior, military strategist and cunning diplomat.

She personally led the army until the age of 73 and was so respected by the Portuguese that Angola was only dominated after her death at the age of 81.

With all her history of struggle and determination, Queen Nzinga came to represent the Fundo Agbra, an institution whose mission is to enhance and encourage the inclusion of black women, enabling financial and emotional independence.
