Twisted and corrupted, it is said this was once a benevolent deity, but now it only lives to cannabalize the other gods. It soars with impossibly large wings, screeching as it swallows other gods whole. Sometimes it is called the Symmetrical Dance of Death. It is here that the Shining Trapezohedron is made, and most of the priests are slain by the small sharp talons of the hellish night-gaunts the black gargoyles pry from bones with sickle. Only the strong night-gaunts, the insane night-winds, the shapeless elemental idols, and certain unhallowed cults of the pits, deny these faithful daemon slaves access to the graveyards of their fellows. The tower of skulls so often visited by the accursed watchers of night is the ultimate symbol of Inquanok's hold on the wicked city, for in it is enshrined the daemon soul of the accursed one. Ghouls and the Bedouins Ghouls and the Bedouins are closely related to the cats and dogs, yet live on a vastly different planet from their more fabulous cousins. There is a squalid jungle city in the elder gulfs where ghouls and the half-gods coexist side by side, and where the giant bat-frog Phobos reigns supreme as Lord of the Flies.
