As we drove down the rain drenched streets of DTLA, he opened the sunroof by using only his mind. The moon seemed to shine on only us. I suddenly felt as if I was right where I should be in life. As if everything had led me to that moment with a three feet tall passenger from another world riding shotgun. I remember having a sudden and intense feeling of familial love towards him. The crisp winter air filled my nostrils as I felt a feeling that I had been missing. It was a feeling of exhilaration that I always get when I showed a new friend my city.

To be honest, I was a little terrified that a stranger could feel so familiar in such a short amount of time. On the way to the club, my husband and I told him about ourselves. He extended his hand and introduced himself as Todd Billion because he was from billions of light years away. His hand was warm and wet. He vibrated light and good vibes and talked about peace, love, and happiness and how these ideas must spread like a virus— His words.

When we finally arrived to our destination, we hopped out and made a beeline to the door. The bouncer was too distracted with some local talent to look down and see Todd. Plus, It was that time of night when everyone was too drunk or high to care. The only sober one in the joint was my friend Libby. She used to get high during mass but traded it all in for a natural high brought on by hiking, dancing, meditation and kombucha. When Libby saw Todd she screamed, WTF! Suddenly, Todd appeared to be wearing a hoodie with the WTF acronym on the front. That surprised Libby and made her laugh.  She liked how quick Todd was on his feet and she especially liked when a potential lover could do a flawless quick change. They danced all night. Later Libby told me dancing with Todd was completely hypnotizing. I suddenly got jealous that she too felt an instant closeness to our new friend.
