He hasn’t seen the light of day for years. Rather, he prefers the warmth of cozy bars bathed in amber light. Here he sits in his favorite spot where live, smooth jazz music envelopes the room. The truth is he’s in love with the jazz singer but too much of a coward to make a move. He tells himself that tomorrow he will be more brave but tomorrow never comes.
Zavtra is a rare, curated collection of NFTs by award-winning artist Sarah Louise Wilson. Each NFT captures a moment of nostalgia. www.sarahlouisewilson.com
Zavtra was inspired by my time in Kazakhstan. Zavtra means tomorrow in Russian. It was a word I frequently heard when I was out with friends or in a meeting and was eager to “wrap-it-up” so that I could get to my next engagement. I was told “Zavtra Zavtra” meaning that whatever I wanted to run to next could wait until tomorrow. It is this very sentiment that informed and inspired my first collection of NFTs.
Each NFT featured in this collection was first hand drawn or painted by me and then brought into the digital space using After Effects, Photoshop and/or Illustrator in order to make them move and groove. Each piece was created at 3155x3155 pixels. As both a professional filmmaker and painter, creating NFTs seemed like a natural progression. I hope you enjoy. Cheers to the future of art.
