Mycelial networks dominate the landscapes of our planet, its origins unknown. The resilience of these organisms proves admirable. The Psilocybe Chromaticorum is a rare species of the Psilocybe species, it only appears in the higher elevations as to escape the toxic smog. At dawn, when temperatures are ideal, the mycelium starts to form fruiting bodies that remain visible for a mere 2 days before decomposing. The spores appear green when released, but spore prints of field samples have confirmed they are in fact jet black prints. Our conclusion is that the spores are coated with a bioluminescent gel produced by the gills of the cap prior to releasing the spores. This coating attracts the attention of bugs and other creatures to use as spore carriers.
This collection showcases an absurd and deeply personal social commentary through the lens of possible alternate realities. Through advanced 3D tools, the artist transitions from the world of the physical and concrete to the abstract and surreal, bringing his emphasis on true beauty to center stage through his use of subconscious imagery, all the while exploring the fluidity of the medium
