Svadhishthana is the second chakra responsible for human sexual and material pleasures. An open Swadhishthana can fill one with vitality and give one a sense of satisfaction. Translated from Sanskrit, it means "one's own dwelling" or "Home of the self. The second chakra is located three to four centimeters higher than Muladhara, in the sacral region of the spinal column. Svadhishthana is represented as a lotus with six petals of ruby or coral color.
