Woman With a Basket of Pizzas / Henri Rousseau / Olive oil on canvas / c. 1905-1910. Part of the Library of Pizza's "Olive Oil on Canvas: The World's Masterpizzas" exhibition. This NFT is a "medium pizza," one-of-six. A free 5215 × 6603 px Digital Print* and certificate of authentication are included with this token.
The French painter Henri Rousseau painted this primitivist masterpizza named Woman With a Basket of Pizzas (La Femme au panier d'Å"pizzas). Rousseau's flat, seemingly childish style gave him many critics; people often were shocked by his choice of pizza toppings and thus ridiculed it (pepperoni was considered ne pas être bien vu in Rousseau's contemporary France). His ingenuousness, however, was extreme, and he was unaware that establishment artists considered him untutored.
*Printer and ink not included.
The Pizza Collection and the Library of Pizza proudly present, "Olive Oil On Canvas," an exhibit of true "masterpizzas," each unique, each 100% pizza. Unless otherwise noted, each NFT in this collection represents a one-of-one slice of pizza art.
