Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed around 3 million years ago.

Lions are the only cats that live in groups. A pride can be up to 30 lions, depending on how much food and water is available.

Female lions are the main hunters. While they’re out looking for food, the males guard the pride’s territory and their young.

Male lions grow impressive manes the older they get. These manes grow up to 16cm long and are a sign of dominance.
