"Where It Started” is a collection of 26 digital photographs that encapsulate the original magnetism that pulled me to the camera & to exploring and photographing New York City. Its electrified buzz always seemed to hum within my ear. Surrounded by the complacent and slow-paced life of New Jersey, escaping was only inevitable. Ditching school, riding trains & exploring the city and its rooftops all night became a daily routine. From behind the lens, the hums of the city and the deafening silence of home all synthesized into perfect harmony.
Within these photographs lies my beginnings. But this collection also represents a time within New York City that will never return. The freedom and rush of exploration dissipated with popularity & the original skyline that once drew me here, seems to be ever changing. Paying homage to this city, to the freedom that I once had, and to the roots that led me here, this collection seems only fitting to be the first that I release.
