Doug TenNapel’s Eternal Klay is a collection of NFTs that is a tribute to his art history and experience as an animator, comic book author and fine artist. Schim Kledgian is the host of “The Schim Kledgian TV Show” It’s the most popular weekly show, Klay families tune in at the same time every week to sit in front of their tv’s right after dinner. The show is a collection of talent, Klays showing off the tricks they can do, or singers, dancers and comedians. Schim often gets acts and talent that are Klays who used to do circus acts but got they got fired and had to leave the circus because those audiences were too sophisticated and discriminating. The TV audience of Schim Klegian’s show like to tune in to see how bad this week’s acts will be. A regular type of act Schim will bring on is plate spinners. Some of these Klays spin plates on top of sticks, but some just stand a plate on its side and turn it around. Ventriloquists are Schim’s favorite kind of act. Some have puppets, but one regular that comes back every few weeks just draws a face on the side of his hand with a marking pen; his mouth obviously moves when the “puppet” is talking, but the Klays loves it. A “juggler” (he doesn’t actually juggle anything) holds a stack of wood blocks horizontally between his two hands while adding or removing blocks. He often drops a few in the process and will trip on a block when he walks off stage. How did Schim Kledgian get this gig. He has no talent to speak of. He can’t sing; he tried singing, but his singing style was more like yelling than singing. He has been told to stop dancing because kicks his dancing partners in their shins. When he tries to tell jokes on the show, his jokes are so obvious that hecklers will shout out the punchline before he can get to it. Schim would do magic tricks but audiences always see where he is hiding cards or doves or bunnies. When the producers of the show hired him he was marketing himself as a talent scout and agent, but he had never been able to promote any good talent to a successful entertainment career; his clients were less talented than he is. When he did get his clients a show on some stage, he was credited with increasing the sales of eggs and tomatoes at the grocery stores near the theater. The producers of “The Schim Kledgian TV Show” hired him for one reason when they found him: his name matched the name of the show.
