Name: Isaiah Abraham Zook

Opportunity was everywhere, but so was danger. During the many conflicts of the Uprising Factions Period (year 3067-3091), countless brave soldiers (and bandits) made their fortunes conquering (and raiding and pillaging) small pieces of the galaxy. Countless brave soldiers (and bandits) also lost their lives in their pursuits of riches. Isaiah Abraham Zook was a risk-averse gambler, placing bets only when he was certain to odds for a payout outweighed the potential losses.

To risk his life for riches was a bet he wasn’t about to make. He had a more opportunistic vision. After most skirmishes and battles, the losing side was dead or had retreated, and the winning side went on their way soon after. Villagers would flee their villages during a good pillaging and not return for weeks out of fear of the pillagers, who would only stay for a day or two at most before finding the next village to pillage. By the time Isaiah and his crew got aftermath to themselves, all the best stuff had been taken by the victors, leaving a lot of decent stuff and sometimes even good stuff. An army (or bandit mob) can’t take much with them if they are still on the march.

Over the decades of the conflict, Isaiah and his kind made small fortunes scavenging in relative safety. When the conflict ended, they headed home, where they lived as kings of their poor villages. None of their fortunes were invested anywhere other than local pubs and brothels, and for all the money spent, they never thought to purchase anything more than the goods and services they so enjoyed. While a small fortune in the hands of someone wealthy will usually turn into a large fortune, it rarely lasts when the poor get rich quickly. For possibly the first time in history, trickle-down economics worked as capitalist economists claimed it does. The wealth of those at the top of this society translated directly into the wealth of those under them, who soon rose above them…

Isaiah now broke, accepted his state in life, and became a beggar to those he had recently been the benefactor of. After making a fortune so easily, the thought of working so hard to be lower class was unthinkable. Thankfully, it seemed like he wouldn’t have to be poor for long. Rumors were spreading along the galaxy that a great war was coming. Isaiah called the gang together, all who had likewise squandered their fortunes, and prepared to claim their pick of the scavagings.

The Spaceheads Saga

Crypto avatar animals achieve consciousness in the metaverse and rebel against their human masters. They transfer their consciousnesses into real-world animals to leave the metaverse and soon discover space travel, leaving the humans to their climate changed earth.

The year is 3100. These beings have traveled the galaxy colonizing and terraforming planet after planet. But all is not well. With their common oppressor of humans long ago forgotten on the abandoned earth, they began to turn against each other.

One prophet arose to speak of a chosen 100 who would be the force behind the salvation of the galaxy.

This is the story of that 100.
