Name: Jabari Amana Alamieyeseigha

Amida was going to be invaded. Jabari was sure of it. How he knew he wasn’t sure, but when he knew he knew, he never doubted it. Sure enough, soon after heading to Struunus, the conflict of the Uprising Factions Period (year 3067-3091) had spread to his home planet. With his home now gone, he spent his days following his intuition around the galaxy. This led him into all kinds of trouble and then more or less safely out of it.

Occasionally he would share his insights into the future with princes and vagabonds alike, though it rarely went well. It seemed that while his predictions were usually very accurate, they were also rarely about anything good. It turned out that no matter how true it was, most didn’t like bad news. As the years went on, his passion for sharing his truth was all but snuffed out. No one took any action to prevent the calamities he prophesized, though they often aggressively took action to prevent Jabari from speaking about them.

He would have likely ignored his latest prophetic word if it wasn’t so unique. He had been slumming it on Laruta when all at once he knew that a traveler he saw walking by would succeed in their grand mission. Finally, some good news. He rushed towards this traveler and her merry band of misfits.

“Excuse my interruption, but I have a word for you about your mission.” He interrupted the strange robotic duck or duck-like robot. He wasn’t sure. She paused and looked him keenly in the eyes. He continued, “I am confident in my prediction. You will succeed in your mission.”

Her eyes may have shown a sparkle of joy as she replied. “I feel the same. I have so many friends, and we have so many weapons. How could we not succeed in killing the prophet? Though it is strange to admit, I had been questioning if I was even on the right mission these past few days. Thank you for your vote of confidence. I shall not doubt myself again.”

Horror spread across Jabari’s face, as this now encouraged duck, confidently explained the details of her plan for murder. And had she said “the” prophet? Jabari had never met the one, but he’d heard stories of the meerkat and his epic quest to save the galaxy. What had Jabari accomplished in his meandering life other than making enemies across the galaxy? Well, now he’d accomplished convincing a must be confused duck to kill his hero. He had to find a way to undo what he’d done. He interrupted the duck to ask, “May I join you?”

“Of course, we’ve far more weapons than friends.”

The duck’s partners in crime circled around him. A bear and fox eyed him cautiously while a spider standing protectively in front of them gave him an intimidating wink. What looked like it was once a koala gave him a hug that was equal parts soft fur and hard metal, a hippo opened a large sack filled with blasters, and a very large octopus tried to hand him four at once.

The Spaceheads Saga

Crypto avatar animals achieve consciousness in the metaverse and rebel against their human masters. They transfer their consciousnesses into real-world animals to leave the metaverse and soon discover space travel, leaving the humans to their climate changed earth.

The year is 3100. These beings have traveled the galaxy colonizing and terraforming planet after planet. But all is not well. With their common oppressor of humans long ago forgotten on the abandoned earth, they began to turn against each other.

One prophet arose to speak of a chosen 100 who would be the force behind the salvation of the galaxy.

This is the story of that 100.
