Name: Tyr

Onduna's biggest ocean was vast, and all referred to it as "The Ocean of Oceans." The Ocean of Oceans biggest Octopus was also very big, and all referred to him as "The Octopus of Octopuses," and occasionally "The Octopus of Octopi." Even as a larva, he was abnormally large, which naturally made him a target for aggressive octopuses looking to prove something. While not being particularly aggressive, he would always defend himself, consistently winning, making him even more of a target.

When he had almost reached adulthood, he was attacked by a large group of overly aggressive octopuses who attacked him together at once after their ring leader had been severely hurt (physically, but mostly emotionally) when he attacked Tyr solo. Tyr had had enough, he just wanted to enjoy his life in peace, but it seemed like every battle he won brought many new challengers. This would be the last.

Many octopuses entered that fight and left as heptapuses, hexapuses, pentapuses, tetrapuses, tripuses, dipuses, monopuses, and even some straight puses. This would be the last time he was challenged. Before, they were jealous of him, now they only feared him. Out of that fear, or possibly respect, they began to treat him as a deity. Wherever he went, he was found, not for battle anymore, but to be given gifts of the choice foods of their kind.

The food was more than he could ever consume, and he usually ended up with an aura of unfinished snacks floating around him. This became a choice feeding ground for all kinds of smaller creatures, and his aura grew to include the happy feeders nourishing themselves. One common visitor species was the sarpa salpa, commonly known as "the fish that makes dreams." These dreams were caused by a psychedelic compound found in the scales of the sarpa salpa.

The sarpa salpa, who was usually late to break bread with Tyr, often had to scrounge around amongst his arms to find what was leftover. The first time it happened Tyr was slightly discomforted with the tickling of their nibling, though the contact with their dreamy skin soon made him forget any discomfort, becoming one with his little friends and the ocean around them.

On this day, he watched the feast from the third perspective, thinking how familiar that gigantic octopus looked to him when he felt the vibrations in the ocean slightly change their pitch. He melted into the rising tone as he felt it getting stronger. Above him, he saw a shooting star sliding across the water, and he was drawn upwards, breaking the surface right in front of it. The star slid to a stop inches away from him, showering droplets of tiny diamonds made of water upwards, where they hung for a moment before remembering the rules of gravity and dropped down on his curious face, each one making a unique splash that told a story to his listening skin.

"You are a fast star," He said to the half-machine half duck that was re-engaging its propellers.

"I'm on an important mission to kill the prophet, and nothing will stop me, so either join me or get out of my way." She answered in a rush.

"I can join you?" He wondered aloud.

"I have found no reasons why you cannot." She said, her engines ready. "So, are you coming with me?"

He thought about it for a few moments, or a few minutes, or a few hours, he wasn't sure how long, before answering,

"Why not."

The Spaceheads Saga

Crypto avatar animals achieve consciousness in the metaverse and rebel against their human masters. They transfer their consciousnesses into real-world animals to leave the metaverse and soon discover space travel, leaving the humans to their climate changed earth.

The year is 3100. These beings have traveled the galaxy colonizing and terraforming planet after planet. But all is not well. With their common oppressor of humans long ago forgotten on the abandoned earth, they began to turn against each other.

One prophet arose to speak of a chosen 100 who would be the force behind the salvation of the galaxy.

This is the story of that 100.
