The beautiful World UNESCO Heritage site Kinderdijk. There are 19 mills dating back to the 18th century.

I was planning to go to Kinderdijk and fly my drone during a foggy morning but this was only allowed by approval from the organization. They usually don't allow to have you fly drones in this area and the people living (yes people still live in the mills) are also not a big fan of drones. I would have to get approval and the Kinderdijk organization would notify the owners the night before...so I had to be really sure the morning was going to be a good one because it was my only chance. During the summer on a July morning the conditions were set up to be good. The day before everything was arranged for me to fly the drone the next morning. It was a 1hrs drive for me and the sun was going to rise at around 5am...early wake up for sure. Driving towards Kinderdijk there was actually not much fog present...but there should be more in the area I'm going...I started to get nervous when I got closer as the fog was not very persistent. I drove up to where I could park my car and thankfully it looked really good where the mills were standing! I was ecstatic and so happy to have these conditions!

#24 in this collection was also taken on this same morning.

Into the Fog collection image

Fog & Clouds, the ingredients I look for when I go out photographing. Those beautiful mornings with a landscape filled with fog, priceless! Its also no surprise that I nicknamed my drone to 'The Fog Hunter'! It was not easy to capture all these images, many early wakeup calls with no guarantee that fog will be present. My knowledge of meteorology certainly did give me the edge to predicting the fog! This collection originally started out in September 2021. Over the next months the NFT space has evolved and so have I as an artist. The collection Into to Fog was originally a larger collection. To give the collection more rarity/variety I have started to narrow down the collection to 10 pieces total.
