The Zaanse Schans, a beautiful museum located around 20km above Amsterdam. All the buildings you see in the museum have been transported from the surrounding area. The region called The Zaan was actually the worlds first industrial area around 15th century. There were about 1000 windmills there and they made almost 75 ships per year.

This composition I actually thought of when I came back from another foggy morning shoot (see image #20). I looked at the images I took and started to think, I should have taken an image from this side. So I knew what I was going for the next time, but how long I had to wait was the question, as you don't have that many chances to get these perfect conditions, perhaps a handful per year.

Keeping an eye out for the weather is very important and as a pilot I'm always busy with what the weather is and is going to be anyways. During fall, it was again predicted to be one of those perfect mornings. All ingredients needed for fog were predicted to be there and double checking my aviation weather app also confirmed this. Alarm clock set the next morning and this was the result! I sure was a happy man that morning, a joy to be out photographing with such conditions...just being persistent was key.

Into the Fog collection image

Fog & Clouds, the ingredients I look for when I go out photographing. Those beautiful mornings with a landscape filled with fog, priceless! Its also no surprise that I nicknamed my drone to 'The Fog Hunter'! It was not easy to capture all these images, many early wakeup calls with no guarantee that fog will be present. My knowledge of meteorology certainly did give me the edge to predicting the fog! This collection originally started out in September 2021. Over the next months the NFT space has evolved and so have I as an artist. The collection Into to Fog was originally a larger collection. To give the collection more rarity/variety I have started to narrow down the collection to 10 pieces total.
