Roho, meaning 'the spirit', is a legendary leopard boy in Masai Mara. He is a loner with a strong instinct growing powerful each day.

I met Roho on the very first safari in Masai Mara, while he was hunting a mongoose. Though being young enough and orphan, Roho's willpower and strength to face the roughness of the wild could easily be seen in his eyes and movements. His mother Lorain was killed by the lions few months back and since then, Roho has been struggling everyday. His age is not more than 15 months when I first saw him. I love and adore his capacity of not accepting defeat.

I met him twice more during this trip and everytime I found him looking for a hunt and it really got me into thinking how easily we give up if things go south ! But if nature always tries to fight back then why shouldn't we ?

Let's learn the lession of survival from "ROHO - the fierce loner".

Wild Wizardry collection image

Wildlife, may it be a rainforest, or a grassland – is magical. Observing wild animals in their natural habitat is no less than magic. Presenting “Wild Wizardry”, a collection that’ll continue incorporating my wildlife edition photographs.

My very first trip to the Masai Mara, Kenya. Our camp was set at the middle of the vast plains of the Savannah!

Our day there used to start at 5:30 am and as I said our camp was set in the middle of the wilderness, once we are out on our safari cars, we could see hundreds of Zebras, Impalas, Wildebeests, Topis, Blackbucks, Giraffes, Hippos, Hyenas and what not! With every minute, as the eastern sky glows up, the animals look more gorgeous under that wonderful sky! When the first light falls on the lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, uffff - no one can actually express the feeling in words. Their appearance, sounds, rising sun, cool breeze, everything makes the environment so magical, so blissful making the whole environment feel wizardry.
